Mackin Park Revitalization
Purpose
To provide access and space for public play and gatherings adjacent to existing sports fields. The use of connecting pathways, plazas, play areas, water play and skateboard park provide space for activities for all types of sports enthusiasts. Viewing areas scattered about provide space for those playing needing respite and for those simply relaxing and watching. To revitalize and reconnect the area with its French-Canadian roots.
Components
Architectural concrete retaining walls, concrete plazas complete with granite and concrete banding. Overlook complete with ornamental iron railings and guardrails lending views of parterre gardens below. Drainage upgrades including a sediment pond services to new washroom building, new electrical kiosk and lighting.
