Purpose

To replace an existing playground that had reached its serviceable lifespan. It featured an emerging “submarine” as their main play element. The new park kept the marine theme and ties to the logging industry history of New Westminster.

Components

Architectural concrete, wood retaining walls, yellow cedar decking, poured in place rubber mounds. New custom wood tugboat and custom log play equipment fit together seamlessly to create a fun, eye pleasing creation.

A true testament to city and contractor collaboration.  This project combines design build play equipment and lump sum park amenities designed by the City of New Westminster.  This project highlights expertise in producing high quality wooden structures built on concrete foundations meeting the stringent requirements of a playground.
