Water Reservoir Seismic Upgrade
Purpose
To seismically upgrade an existing water reservoir and to provide safer means of access into the reservoir.
Components
The perimeter walls, all below grade, needed to be exposed in order to install new concrete buttresses and to thicken existing walls. Some 42,000 dowels and 1,000 cubic meters of concrete were installed to reinforce the existing concrete walls and reservoir cover.
