Waterfront Esplanade Boardwalk Deck & Pile Repairs
Purpose
To replace 15,000 square feet of existing wood decking on Quayside Esplanade and install new stringers when existing stringers were failing. Repair existing postings as directed by Parsons Engineering.
Components
Remove existing decking boards on Quayside Esplanade over the Fraser River and replace daily to ensure the site remains safe and secure over nights and weekends. Install new stringers when existing stringers showed signs of deterioration in collaboration with Parsons Engineering. Repair existing postings by cutting out 4-6 feet compromised piles and installing new sections pile bolted to existing beams and piles.
